General Information
Why should I choose Re
Vitals Nursing LLC?
We’ll admit it, there are a LOT of agencies
to choose from, many with comprehensive benefits
and high pay. Problem is, most of these agencies
are exactly the same, and you’ll see this
from their identical benefits packages: competitive
pay, medical/dental, 401(k). What’s the
difference? Some might offer an extra $1/hr?
We offer a totally unique experience. You’ll
receive all the ‘standard’ benefits
you’re accustomed to (medical/dental/vision,
401(k), great pay, varying lengths of contracts),
but we go a step beyond: FREE Personal Fitness
Training during the length of our partnership.
If you’ve ever dreamed of getting in the
best shape of your life under with the guidance
of a trained professional, give us a try. Our
Trainers are certified, safe and effective.
Outside of our company, our Trainers’
clients pay them thousands of dollars for their
guidance and support. For you, it’s part
of your benefits. No other company offers anything
like this.
The Tri-State area is a dynamic and amazing
place, with diverse sport and fitness options
available everywhere, during all seasons. Our
team and our trainers will help you create a
travel experience like never before.
Plus, when you work with us, you will not only
receive great ‘small company’ service,
but will also have the opportunity to work with
some of the best hospitals and facilities in
Northern NJ.
Do you operate outside
of New Jersey?
Not yet! Currently, we’re only in NJ.
We’re always willing to look at new areas
though, so if you live somewhere else, contact
us to discuss.
Do I pay a fee to work
with Re Vitals?
No. Hospitals pay for our services.
Do you offer benefits?
Of course. We offer medical, dental, vision,
401K, continuing education, our unique personalized
fitness training program and more!
How do I apply for a
position?
Our online application page is under construction.
In the meantime, call or email us and request
an Application Packet. Do that here.
Assignments
What type of opportunities
does Re Vitals provide?
You can work in per-diem, part-time or full-time.
When you register with us, you’ll fill
out a simple preferences questionnaire, and
we will then match you to the shifts/assignments
that meet your particular needs.
Why do Nurses opt to
travel?
It depends on the individual. Some people like
the autonomy of traveling and seeing different
parts of the country. Some like the challenge
of working with new people at different facilities.
Others like the benefits a Travel Company offers.
How long will it take
to approve my application and find an assignment?
Application approval is complete after we have
checked your references. You could begin your
first assignment within one week as long as
A) your documentation is in order, B) you have
a current license in the state to which you're
traveling, and C) there is a need in the marketplace
for your desired shift type.
Do I need to sign an
employment contract in order to work with Re
Vitals?
No. You are contractually committed for each
assignment you take, but not with our company
in general.
How long are travel assignments?
Typically 13 weeks, but we offer a range of
assignment lengths.
When am I committed to
an assignment?
After interviewing with the facility, they will
decide if they want to extend an offer to you.
At that time, you decide if you want to accept
the assignment. You are never obligated to take
an assignment. Not taking an assignment will
not affect future assignments and opportunities.
What happens after I
accept an assignment?
We’ll send all of your paperwork to the
facility for their review. If you have any additional
questions for the facility, be sure to have
them prepared for your phone interview so that
you are completely comfortable with your assignment.
How will Re Vitals prepare
me for my assignment?
Once you have accepted an assignment, we will
confirm your start date, shift, unit and salary.
We’ll send you a package with all the
information you’ll need to start your
assignment, and we’ll be available 24/7
to help you along the way and answer any questions
you have.
If I'm on assignment
and don't like it, do I have to stay?
Yes, but only the length of your contract.
Can I be fired by a facility
while I'm on assignment?
Facilities are contractually obligated to you,
just as you are to them for the duration of
the assignment. Only in cases of documented
poor behavior, can the facility cancel the contract.
We should be able to work with you and the facilities
to ensure that this does not happen.
What happens once my
assignment is complete?
If the facility would like to extend your assignment,
you can continue with them if you'd like. If
you or the facility do not wish to extend your
assignment, you may contact us to sign up for
a new assignment elsewhere.
Compensation
What will my rate be?
It depends on your specialty and experience
as well as the facility and the location.
When and how will I be
paid?
Direct deposit or check, bi-weekly.
How are my taxes handled?
As your employer, we withhold your taxes; you
are not an independent contractor. At the end
of the year, you will receive a W-2. See your
tax planner for specific tax questions.
Personal Training
What’s this all
about?
When you’re a member of our team, we offer
you the chance to work with a Personal Trainer
to reach whatever fitness goals you’re
looking achieve.
Why offer this?
We know a 12-hour overnight shift on your feet
can be impossibly exhausting. We want your work
experience to be challenging, but not overwhelming.
Ultimately, when you have more energy and stamina
throughout the length of your shift, your patients
benefit.
What exactly does a Personal
Trainer do?
Our personal trainers have many roles when working
with clients. Your personal trainer will serve
as a coach, teacher and motivator. It is the
trainer's job to assess your current physical
and mental state, establish very specific goals,
design an individualized program, and do whatever
it takes to keep you on track towards getting
results.
I’m not looking
to be a big bodybuilder. Should I still be interested
in Personal Training?
The role of the personal trainer is changing.
It used to be that celebrities and wealthy individuals
were the only people that used personal trainers.
The stereotype of a personal trainer used to
be that of a big bodybuilder. Today the personal
trainer is a highly skilled professional that
has been educated and certified to work with
various types of clients. Children as young
as 7 years old, 80 year old men and women, obese
adults, athletes, cancer recovery patients,
and adults with diseases all benefit from working
with personal trainers. Clients are using personal
trainers for fat loss, weight gain, flexibility,
posture improvement, stress reduction, increased
energy, injury rehabilitation, general health
improvement, and cancer recovery.
Does it cost me anything?
Do the costs come out of my hourly rate if I
decide to sign up?
No and no.
What are the minimum
requirements?
Personal Training relationships begin with you
going through a Fitness Assessment, where our
Trainers will help you identify your goals,
assess your current fitness level, and begin
to develop a plan. There may be instances where
you will be required to receive a Physician’s
approval to begin an exercise program; if this
is the case our Trainers will let you know.
Are your Trainers certified?
YES. There are many certifications out there
– some great, some terrible. You can be
sure our Trainers have passed the most rigorous
Certification programs available. They are certified
by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (www.nasm.org).
This means they’re safe, effective, and
fact-based.
Where do the Training
sessions take place?
Mostly in your home. And our Trainers will bring
everything you need to get in the best shape
of your life from the comfort of your living
room. If you and your trainer decide outdoor
conditioning is part of your fitness plan, you
might also head to a local track or field.
I am not a Nurse, but
am interested in your Personal Training services.
Are your trainers available for hire?
Of course. They work with clients outside of
the Nursing profession all the time. Contact
us to discuss or for rates.
